about

#Belinda Griffiths MFA (first class Honours) is a multimedia artist and maker of digital objects, intrigued by the metaphysical tension between reality and  memory. Using intangible materials like light and projection for experiences that are ungraspable, ephemeral creations of multi-sensory phenomena through installation, sculpture, video projection and sound. Through her creative research she investigates notions of what constitutes real when it is subverted by a pixelated permeable boundary, the hyper real, where the physical and virtual touch.

### Academic Background & Film Industry Credentials Griffiths completed her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) with First Class Honours at Massey University. Having trained extensively in digital illustration and graphic design, she worked successfully within the professional film industry for a decade. Her current studio practice extends these advanced digital workflows, software packages, and spatial technologies into fine art installations.

As a full-time practicing artist, her artworks are highly sought after and held in prominent private collections across New Zealand, Australia, France, and the United States.
